Dickson Njanja Mararo the suspect behind the shooting of two police officers and a woman at Quiver’s Lounge in Kasarani, last Friday, has surrendered to detectives at DCI headquarters.
The suspect who is currently being grilled by Serious Crimes detectives surrendered today afternoon, accompanied by lawyer Cliff Ombeta.
Speaking on his behalf lawyer Cliff Ombeta said that his client was not on the run but was waiting for things to cool down. “My client was provoked by the police officers who were taking his girlfriend from him”
Ombeta said that his client tried to seek assistance from the bouncer but the said officers block him.
The case was taken over by officers from the Special Crimes Unit who will work round the clock to ascertain what happened.
A Glock semi-automatic pistol and 38 rounds of 9mm ammunition, were recovered from the suspect. Mararo will be arraigned in court to answer to murder charges
