KAREN DCI officer Ann Wanjiru who collapsed and died at a friend’s party was buried yesterday at her father’s home in Gikiriri village, Nyeri County.
A pathology report concluded that she died of deep throat thrombosis (blood clots in veins). There were rumours that she had been married to two men, fuelling suspicion over her sudden death.
“I have appealed to the Inspector General of Police to initiate a public inquest in accordance with the Criminal Procedure Code Cap 75, section 386 sub-section 1c to establish the cause of her death,” says Mathira MP Rigathi Gachagua to whom the late officer was a friend.
