Tension has gripped Apokor village in Teso North sub-county, Busia County after a man who was allegedly shot dead by police in April was spotted walking in the area.

Confirming the incident the area chief said the person was on April 29 2021 shot dead in Angurai market. They had attacked a trader at the said market and the police managed to kill one of them. The body one identified as Daniel was moved the morgue and later the family of the deceased buried him.

On the 5th of June 2021,tension rose in Apokor village as residence claimed that they spotted Daniel walking in the village.

The residence is now living in fear and are now asking the police to assure them of their security. “We would like to the police to get to the bottom of this and tell us who was buried and who are the accomplices of Daniel” said one terrified resident.
