There is drama and confusion at Kisumu Central Police station after an OCS who was transferred two weeks ago has vowed to stay put and not to leave the post he has been holdng for years now.
The station now has two OCSs who are scrambling to attend to clients in the same office
The DIG in the recent reshuffle moved the ward commanders( commonly known as OCS) to different parts of the country.
Thomas Thembara who was moved to Uasin Gishu county has allegedly refused to pave way for Paul Muturi who should be the new OCS at the station.
According to an officer who sought anonymity, the duo is also scrambling for the OCS seat and other office equipment.
“The officer has refused to go and insists that he must remain here. It’s drama daily for the past two weeks,”
Nyanza Regional Police Commander Karanja Muiruri was however unavailable for comment. The officers are now calling on the sub county police commander and the regional police commander to help in solving the matter because it’s affecting the service delivery to the residents of kisumu.
