Daughter of Deputy Inspector General Edward Mbugua dies in a road accident in Nrb along Tom Mboya street/Murang’a lane. The 25 year girl was sandwiched by a matatu that was reversing. The driver has since been arrested to be charged with the killing, body moved to morgue awaiting PM.
The girl, had just alighted from a matatu and was walking between two mini-buses at 7am, when she was crushed.
“The matatus heading the same direction were extremely close to each other,” an informant told The Standard on condition of anonymity.
The teenager was rushed to a city hospital, where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
“Her body has been moved to the Kenyatta University Funeral Home,” said the source.
The drivers of the two matatus have since been arrested as investigations continue.
